De-Ionized Water

It may come as no surprise that de-ionized water is the most common water we supply and at The-Water-Company.com. Naturally, we are completely focused on the quality of the de-ionized water we manufacture and supply. We do not use any untreated water for any of our products, ensuring the consistently high standard of the de-ionized water which provide to our customers. Please note, we do not recommend the use of de-ionized water for human consumption; before we supply de-ionized water it undergoes a process of demineralisation where all of the beneficial properties (minerals, ions etc.) are removed, plus it has virtually no taste to it – de-ionized water is not the most pleasant on the palate!

This is a brief description of the manufacturing process we go through as a de-ionized water supplier. Once water from the main is piped into our premises, the initial stage of manufacturing de-ionized water is an organic trap which removes organic substances. After this the water goes into a twin-bed deionizer where an anionic tank removes cat ions, whilst a cationic tank removes anions. At this stage the levels of impurities in the de-ionized water will be under 10 µ per centimeter (and frequently well below this at about 1µ per cm), which is well below what many other de-ionized water suppliers provide, and far below traditional distilled water. By now, the water we supply can be considered de-ionized, however to lower impurities even more, we send the de-ionized water into a mixed bed resin where impurities are taken out to levels below 0.05 µ per centimeter. After this, we provide ultra violet treatment where we pass water through an ultra violet light to kill what little remaining micro-organisms still exist. At the end, our water passes through a 0.2 micron filter.
