EP Water Specification

EP water is known by other phrases such as pharmaceutical water, pharmaceutical purified water, water EP, EP purified water, Ph.eur water and EP H2O.

The pharmaceutical grade water we produce is in accordance with current EP Pharmacopeia (6th Edition, edition 6.3 to 6.5).  Please contact us for further details.

When we manufacture EP water, we take samples of every batch for two types of testing.  We conduct in-house tests for all chemical elements mentioned above, plus we send a sample away for third-party microbiology testing, where the total viable count is measured.  On top of this we also send weekly samples for third party analysis to ensure that our water is consistently of a suitable standard.  Furthermore, we are regularly audited by companies we supply, including a number of major pharmaceutical companies.

Pharmaceutical companies view the audit process with very high regard.  Once we have been audited and addressed any outstanding issues (such as CAR’s – otherwise known as Corrective Action Requests) we can be confirmed as approved suppliers.  Being on the approved supplier list for major companies, especially major pharmaceutical companies, is a reflection of the emphasis we place on the quality of our procedures.  We also feel it is a reflection of the hard work we put into this aspect of our operation, not to mention a feather in our cap each time it happens.  Sadly, due to confidentiality reasons we cannot say who the major pharmaceutical companies we supply are, save to say they the list includes a number of market leaders and household names.
