Battery Water
At The-Water-Company.com, we suggest using deionized water for battery water. Technically, it would be possible to use higher purity water as battery water, but given the water application we would consider anything beyond the quality of deionized water to be somewhat over the top.
Battery Water
The deionized water we manufacture and supply is highly purified. As a result, it contains no dissolved solids, so it will not interact with any of the other functioning chemicals of a cell battery. In particular, a battery will also contain sulphuric acid and lead oxide. We can also supply sulphuric battery acid– please make contact with us for further details about these products, including our competitive pricing.

The sulphuric acid which is found in a battery is an electrolyte. This allows the charge to pass between the plates and current to flow. As already mentioned, the other chemical found in a cell battery is lead oxide. These are what the plates in the battery are manufactured out of. Together, the sulphuric acid and the lead oxide create an electrochemical cell.
We have a huge amount of experience manufacturing and supplying deionized water and battery water, and we use deionized water in the battery water in our own fork lift truck batteries. So, if you would like to speak to an expert who can advise you further on your particular water application, please get in touch with us through one of the many contact forms on our website or by emailing us directly at enquiries@the-water-company.com. We look forward to helping you.
