Generally, our 210L drums are blue in colour, although we can get hold of other colours if specifically required.

We can fit 4 210L water drums on a standard UK pallet.  A standard UK pallet measures 1 metre by 1.2 metres.  Another type of pallet is a Euro-pallet.  Euro-pallets measure 1.14 metres x 0.76 metres, so they have a smaller surface area than a standard UK pallet.  We can supply consignments on these but the customer will be required to stipulate this when ordering.

Drums have 2 holes in the lid (please see the diagrams above).  The reason for this is so that when the 210L drum is turned on its side, a dispensing tap can be connected to the bottom hole and the top hole can be opened slightly.  This creates a circulation to allow them to let air in at the same time as letting liquid out by way of the dispensing cap.  Air has to flow into the container to allow the contents to flow out of the container.  Without the top hole open to allow air to flow in, the same hole would have to be used by both air and water, which would result in occasional ‘glugging’.  This can create spillages, which can lead to things like wasted product, trip hazards and so forth.  As mentioned, we also provide caps for dispensing each 210L water drum.

We recommend the use of a drum opening tool for opening and tightening the lids.  We also recommend the use of drum handling equipment, making for much safer and easier handling of the 210L drum.
