Water Container 5 Litre

Water container 5 litre packs are also referred to as jerricans or jerry cans.  These containers are manufactured from High Density Polyethylene.

These small containers are pretty easy to handle from a manual handling perspective, especially certainly compared with 25L and larger containers.

Out of interest, the biggest market for Water container 5 litre packs in terms of the number of units consumed is the food market.

When these 5L water containers are supplied, they come in pallets of 200.  These pallets of 200 empty containers are referred to as ‘bricks’ in our industry.

You can fit 100 full Water container 5 litre packs on a pallet (or 200 units when they are empty).  When on a pallet (‘palletised’), they are stacked in layers then wrapped in cling-film type material called pallet wrapping.  By stacking the units on top of one another, it makes a far more economical use of space than simply having a single layer.  Stacking the units reduces transportation and storage costs when compared to using non-stackable containers.  We can supply in non-stackable containers if the customer requests this (for example, if a job is very price sensitive because non-stackable containers are cheaper than stackable ones), but we will always supply in stackable containers if the customer does not request this.  We much prefer stackable containers as they are stronger, safer, have a higher specification, come with certification, and they can be stacked.

The material which the container has been manufactured from (HDPE) is certified to meet a specific specification and give a specific level of protection to the product inside.
